Though classy and high quality scrapbooks can be a nice thing to have, from time to time all you want is a fast and affordable way to create a fun scrapbook. These little plastic bag scrapbooks are fantastic to make for a children's project. These albums can even make a great present for other relatives who wish to see some photos of your family members. Kids can even learn a whole lot about saving pictures through this project. You can even grab some photos from picture frames all around your home to place in your album. Begin the photograph fun by making some of these cute albums today. Resources Required To make a plastic bag scrapbook, you will need to have a box of gallon-sized clear plastic zip lock bags. Make sure you find plain bags, instead of ones with printing on the front. Also, measure and cut out two square pieces of light in weight cardboard, 12 inches by 12 inches. Gather together some scrapbook paper, or perhaps some affordable construction paper instead, particularly if your children will be participating in this activity. A few more things you will need are glue sticks, a pair of scissors, a ruler, a hole punch, a needle meant for Air Textured Yarn, some markers, and a hammer and thick nail. And you will clearly want some great pictures to place in your scrapbook. Use printed digital photos for children, instead of using the original prints of film photos. If your book is meant for one of your relatives, it might be best to select pictures that are nice enough quality to display in scrapbook picture frames. Children, however, are usually happy with any sort of photos. Making The Scrapbook When you are producing the scrapbook for a kid's project, you will most likely want to assemble it yourself. Establish just how many pages you will want in the book, and then get that amount of plastic bags. Join them together by stapling together 5 bags, placing the staples all along the left side and the opening on the top edge. If your complete number of pages is going to be greater than 5, than produce more sections. Take one of the cardboard covers and position it on a cushioned surface where you will be working, and place a stack of the plastic bags on top of the cardboard. Pound a line of holes about an inch apart all the way through the bags and the cover, using the hammer and the nail. Do the same thing with the rest of the stacks of plastic bags, as well as the other cover. Position the clusters of bags in between the two covers, line them up with the holes matching up, and then sew it all together with a needle and a piece of yarn, then simply knot the ends together when you are all done. Score all along the bound edges of the front and back covers of the album using the ruler as a guide, and then you will be able to fold them back. This will allow the book to open easily. Incorporating The Photos When the book is put together, the fun can begin. Get a bunch of construction paper and some pictures that will fit into the bags correctly and then present them to your youngster. Then they will be able to use sticky squares or glue and some markers and a pair of scissors to create fun pages. When their pages are done, simply slip them into the bag pages and zip closed. You might want to take a little more time and care if you are planning on giving the book as a gift. As an extra advantage, these pages are so very easy to open and close that you can exchange pictures between your book and picture frames easily. Your kids are sure to have fun with these fun and easy scrapbooks that will allow them to show off their favorite photos to you and all your relatives.
The bathroom in your home is the most used room, aside from the kitchen and its layout and design can have a very significant impact upon the overall atmosphere of your home. This room should be beautiful and functional and with so many color schemes and themes to choose from, you can create a space that is a pleasure to use within the confines of your home. Color is an important deciding factor when decorating any room. Most people opt for cooler colors in this area of the home, mostly to keep in line with a water theme, but this is not always the norm. Primary colors like black, white and red can create a dramatic feel. A selection of sinks, tubs, basins and tiles can all be color coded to work with a color scheme. Do keep in mind that your color choice will be one that you will have to live with for many years to come, so be sure that if you do choose a dramatic color, like red or purple, that it is one you can live with happily for many years. A full bathroom consists of a tub as well as a shower cubicle and these can vary dramatically in design. Modern styling has clean, clear lines and free standing stone tubs are extremely stylish but may not be practical in a smaller space. Keep in mind that if your home is decorated throughout in the country cottage style, that an ultra modern bathroom will no continue the theme. Keep your overall theme in mind. Faucets, shower heads and plugs for bath and basin all have an important impact on the styling of the overall room. Window treatments have the same effect. Whether you choose to put up horizontal or vertical blinds, blinds made from bamboo or wood, or perhaps a patterned lace curtain, these will all affect the feel of the room. A room that does not receive direct sunlight would benefit from paler colors, particularly when considering the window treatment. The general rule is lighter shades for smaller areas, though a large room can be decorated in bolder tones. Careful consideration should be taken when selecting the light fixtures to be used. Wall mounted lighting will give a softer appearance and lighting stores offer a fantastic selection of decorative light fixtures. Medicine cabinets and mirrors will benefit from overhead lighting. Mirrors in this area of the house can be used to reflect light and have the effect of opening up the space, particularly in a smaller room. If the room is to be painted, rather than tiled, always select a high quality injection mold resistant paint, particularly for the ceiling. This area of the house is exposed to high moisture levels due to the steam emitted from hot water while family members use the shower or bath. This means that the probability of mould or fungal growth is higher than other areas in the home. Extractor fans are a good addition for removal of excess moisture in the air. After a bath or shower the windows should be opened to ensure proper ventilation and to allow fresh air into the bathroom.

It certainly is easy to wear clothes and show them off then to make them. It travels a long way from field to yarn to fabric to cloth and a lot more till it finally takes the form of what we slip into in a fraction of a minute. Your head would begin to whirl if you were to count the figures of the Twisting Yarn alone. The warp, the weft and the spinning of yarns into threads is a complicated but fun to know process. Once these yarn balls after getting multiple chemical treatment is spun into fabric is when the creativity begins. Most of the tailoring is done through machinery. Technological changes have helped manufacturers to a great extent. The whole circulation procedure is extremely rapid. The reason of which is that the population increase gives rise to an increased demand, and when demand increases supply needs to amplify. When the production grows too much it loses its value. The quality drops and 30 percent out of what the entire production is worth some quality. The niche markets that targets specific customers are more expensive because they unlike the mass production and tailoring of clothes offer handmade dresses. It goes the other way round now; handmade clothes are exquisite and more demanded by the upper class. Anything that is rare is always valuable. Tailoring of clothes by the hand is again in fashion. The plain, dull, lifeless shirts are decorated in many ways. When clothes are handmade you can have them fit the way you want. A stroke of brush with fabric paint, a print by the blocks and the like can beautify something ordinary. Designer have the upper hand on the factory made dresses. They are decorated with beads, sparklers, laces and sequences. It takes a whole lot of creativity to produce some intricate patterns. The pant borders are embodied with beads and the cuts are filled with tussles. There are diamonds and pearl hangings and so much more that adorns the dresses. Artists and textile designers are changing their fields into fashion designing. Owing to Globalization designers have been able to exchange their views and ideas. They travel in order to seek the possible outcomes of intermingling trends. It is hard to differentiate between the clothing styles of different countries. The over all trend and tradition is to wear anything that looks good and presentable in public.
In a previous article of mine, I gave you some easy pointers for blocking any finished projects. When we finish anything we have spent a long time working on, the next thing to do is to make sure that it looks its very best, for all time. Some knitted items need no blocking, and some need only blocking. Then, there are those projects which need to go beyond blocking. If you are knitting something such as a sweater, afghan, vest, or other project, especially those which need to be sewn together, then this article is for you! Inevitably, there comes that time when all of your knitting is done. Both front pieces are knitted, the back is finished, and the sleeves, too. Occasionly, there are collar pieces or cuffs, as well. Usually, your pattern will simply state to sew these pieces together, and it will not say much more than that. So, just how do you put all those pieces together, and more importantly, make them look professional and flawless? You start with two pieces at a time. Usually, you will sew the shoulder pieces up first. You will always need a "yarn needle"; a needle with a very large eye, also called a tapestry needle. Yarn should be a single-strand only. Lay both pieces out on a flat surface, right side up, with the edges you are joining next to one another. Find the place in the next row where a stitch comes together and forms a point. Place your needle under these two strands. On the other knitted piece, find the place in the next row where a stitch comes together and forms a point. Place your needle under these two strands. Go back to the first piece, draw the Twisting Yarn through completely, and repeat again. Go back into the same place you came out of on that side. Alternate back and forth until the seam is sewn. For side seams, use the Mattress Stitch. Again, lay your pieces out flat and always keep the right sides facing you. Sew under only one strand on each side when working your stitches, working from the bottom to the top. Work alternately, going in a smooth fashion from one side to another, until your seam is completed. Don't pull your yarn too tightly, but let it sew up in a natural progression. There are other techniques to sewing up the pieces of your knitting. These are the easist and when done carefully, will result in seams that sew together correctly. Knitting is so much fun, you want what you knit to look the very best it can. With proper care in finishing techniques, you will achieve what might have seemed impossible! About Author Alice Seidel :
October 11, 2012 - USA, Oct 11, 2012 - Wool is also quite resilient, so when you stretch something that has been knitted with wool, it tends to spring back to its original position. This makes wool a great choice for projects that need to stretch to fit, such as hats, earwarmers, fingerless gloves and similar items.
Knitting Wool - Wool is sensitive to agitation and hot water, which causes the overlapping scales of the fiber to stick together, what we call shrinking, or, if we do it on purpose, felting. Wool yarn is probably the most popular fiber out there, and it's no wonder that people love working with it. Wool is springy and easy to work with, producing knitted objects that are warm, durable and long-lasting.
If you have found your way to our website, then hopefully you will be like us and be a fan of knitting. We are a family run business based in South Yorkshire. Technically the term wool can be used to mean any animal fiber, but it is most commonly used to mean the yarn spun from the fur of sheep. Other wools can some from alpaca, goats, llamas or rabbits.
Most yarn manufacturers make it easy for you to determine the weight of a particular yarn. Many of the mass-produced yarns use the Twisting Yarn standards ranking system and will have the number and weight printed right on the label.
Wool from sheep is special because the scales overlap and the fur is very kinky. Both of these characteristics lead to wool's amazing felting ability. The crimps in the fiber also make wool bulky. The fiber is full of air, which makes it quite warm in the winter, but it can also be used to keep heat out during the summer. Thin wools have more crimp, while coarser wools have less crimp.
Knitting Patterns - Wool has been used by humans for centuries and is still an incredibly popular knitting yarn because of its naturalness, the ease in working with it and the wide variety of colors and textures available.
